Transportation Insight is a global, third-party logistics provider Thompson founded in 1999. The company is one of six transportation-related businesses he has started, EY says.

“This group of award recipients truly demonstrates the passion, dedication and vision it takes to achieve remarkable success, and we are excited to honor them and share in the celebrations,” Brad Duncan, EY Entrepreneur of the Year Southeast program principal, said in a statement.
